9- Classmate Blog Critique
A Job Well Done:
Throughout the semester I have noticed a few of my classmates just have a certain flair to their blogs and deserve to be commended for their job well done. I know that sometimes typing papers and blogs can be rather frustrating along with time consuming. We also can't deny that as college students sometimes are motivation to complete school work is lacking. This year has really tested the true dedication of students being home and completing everything online is harder than it seems. That is why I want to give a huge job well done to these few classmates of mine.
First I want to discuss an obvious candidate for the best blog in the course. Elizabeth has always produced quality work through her papers, presentations, and blogs. This starts with her clean aesthetic for her Directed Study II blog a simple background and set up makes it easy for readers to enjoy her work. The thing I believe that makes Elizabeth such a great blogger is her creativity she brings to her blog assignments. She always has her own twists on her blogs instead of following it by the book she always tries to stretch the guidelines. For example, her eighth blog: Predictions I loved her twist on it. Most students did predictions in technological developments but Elizabeth took her own path discussing how technology is helping with global warming predictions. By taking these twists her work transforms her projects to a new level. Her blogs are typically a breath of fresh air discussing a new topic that others have not covered. Not to mention her wording throughout her blogs has such a nice flow and makes readers want to read more. The large amounts of interactivity and photos ties her blog together with a big shiny bow on the top. In fact the amount of interactivity in her blog is so amazing that she has so many links to back up her work. Her photo choices are always timed perfectly throughout her blog going along with the storyline. Overall I can say without a doubt if you need help on your blogs or just want some amazing examples Elizabeth's blog is where to go!
Secondly, I want to commend Katie for her hard work and level of creativity in her blog. From the moment you open up her blog the visuals draw you in. This starts with her ombre background with her name written in a signature style font. For me personally this is one of the most visually attractive blogs I have seen, her style matches another favorite blogger of mine Mary Alice Cole's Blog specifically from the MM 3503 course. Katie's Blog also has great photo selection to make the graphics that shows up on her home page. These photos pull together her collection of blogs as they all have similar eye catching qualities. Her writing ability matches up to her excellent aesthetics as her words flow well together and show her personality in her work. Katie, like Elizabeth has an impressive amount of interactivity and images weaved into her blog. She sets the bar high for other students and continually produces impressive blogs.
Finally I wanted to say that throughout the semester I think each students has done a great job showing their different interest and personalities through their blogs. I really enjoyed getting to know them through their multiple blogs and writing styles. I think everyone deserves a whole pack full of gold stars for a great semester in crappy circumstances.
